SMOC’s Virtual Museum is the digital side to SMOC’s collection. Objects within the collection are photographed, and then these images are uploaded along with the object’s cataloguing record, so that designers, students, historians and fashion-enthusiasts may access the collection whenever, wherever. This allows you to access parts of the collection wherever, whenever. The full collection is composed of over 8000 items, so the Virtual Museum is always a work in progress! We’d like to offer a huge thanks to Jasmine Moore, cataloguer, co-ordinator and curator extraordinaire, and Ivan Sayers, historian, genius and man of a million garments. If you would like to support this project, help is always welcome: please contact info[at]smoc.ca.
